My good friend Kyle Davidson, owner of INTWOVISION and kyledphotography.com recently heard about Bitcoin and became interested in learning how he could accept Bitcoin payments for his artwork and production services. Kyle specializes in professional photography and video production and animation, while blending a unique twist of California culture to the mix.
In my initial meeting with Kyle, we worked through the concepts of Bitcoin as a currency and also as a protocol, and the various uses that could be applied to help Kyle not only accept Bitcoin payments worldwide, but to accelerate the growth of his business by connecting with the Bitcoin community.
We were able to get Kyle signed up as a merchant on Coinbase.com. I explained to Kyle the different ways that he could send and receive payments via the payment button generators, email invoices and shopping cart plugin. After gaining a further understanding of Kyle’s business, I walked Kyle through creating different wallets for different segments of INTWOVISION, as well as personal wallets for non-business activities. We then conducted a series of test transactions to get Kyle comfortable using Bitcoin.
Additionally, Kyle showed great interest in working with the Bitcoin community. I gave him an overview of the market and explained the tremendous opportunity there is in this rapidly growing industry. Before we ended our conversion, I was able to secure Kyle his first Bitcoin related project to redesign the logo for desantisjohnson.com.
Moving forward, I will support Kyle as INTWOVISION grows and continue to seek project opportunities to grow his business and reputation in the Bitcoin community.
